Workers Vanguard No. 1057

28 November 2014

On the NYC Climate March

(Letters)

The letter below was received after our publication of “Toxic Fumes from Eco-Socialists” (WV No. 1055, 31 October).

8 November 2014

I guess the very nicely printed subway ads were a tell—I have never seen subway ads for a protest march before. I think it is extremely obvious that anything less than an international proletarian revolution will not be able to touch the issue of global warming. The degree of cooperation needed on an international scale would be tremendous, and absolutely beyond the reach of competing capitalist countries. What should be a big “duh” for any Marxist is way beyond the ostensible socialists such as the ISO [International Socialist Organization] that foster faith in the bourgeoisie to deal with this—and who pander to the petite bourgeois eco-milieu.

Comradely greetings,
David
