Correction In “Venezuela: U.S. Imperialism Fuels Right-Wing Protests” (WV No. 1043, 4 April), we described the government of Mexican president Lázaro Cárdenas as having “expropriated the petroleum and energy industries.” In fact, while Cárdenas expropriated the oil industry in 1938, he did not nationalize the energy sector as a whole. For example, the electrical industry was nationalized in 1960, two decades after Cárdenas had left office.
