Obama and Gun Control

GREETINGS:

I noted a comment on Obama’s COS [Chief of Staff] and VP Emanuel and Biden. As an NRA life member I would like to comment that you neglect Biden’s and R. Emanuel’s strong opposition to 2nd Amendment rights under the U.S. Constitution. The right to workers’ self defence as exercised thru the right to keep and bear arms has long been under attack by Obama, Biden and RE [Rahm Emanuel] who as B. Clinton’s man pushed thru the phony “assault weapons ban.” Note also G. Soros is a long time supporter of disarming the people. Disarming the citizens is one part of the billionaires’ agenda that is way behind schedule. I think they expected to be much farther down the path by now and this is a serious obstacle to further planned oppression of the workers. Unfortunately, the reactionary Bush gang was able to cleverly use the pro gun vote to “win” two elections, as the NRA vote probably made the difference. The democrats learned the lesson the hard way and Obama, long a strong antigun politician, was forced to pay lip service to the gun “lobby” (voters) even though I feel that now in power they will continue to push the disarmament agenda
…although I think they aren’t really sure how to go about it especially given the Heller decision of the USSC [U.S. Supreme Court]. Too many people own firearms in this country for the politicians to put into effect any plan to take them away. It gets real problematical when a worker thru no fault of his own has no job, no money, no food, no house and still has a gun…note record sales of weapons and ammunition…. [ellipses in original]
