Grenfell Tower: capitalist murder

The fire that ripped through Grenfell Tower on 14 June 2017 killed 72 people, despite the heroic efforts of firefighters. The tower’s charred shell stands as a monument to the racist bourgeoisie’s contempt for the working class and minorities. One year on, more than half of those displaced by the fire are still in emergency housing. Tower blocks around the country remain death traps, where safety compliance is outsourced to the lowest bidder. Grenfell is a damning condemnation of the workings of capitalism, in which the basic needs of the population are subordinated to profit.
We will not forget!
